Susan L. Hanson passed into the loving hands of her savior Jesus Christ
around
3am on January 18th, 2017. She was surrounded by her family who she
cherished.
She was preceded in death by her parents, John and Lydia Steiner and she
will be
missed by Gary, her husband of 41 years, her children John (Deanna) and
Carol;
her grandchildren: Rylee, Ashlyn, Joshua, Caleb, Jonathan, Molly, Macy,
and
Carter; Her sisters, Sandy (Paul) Boisseree, Chris (Tom) Osterbuhr and
Nancy
(Greg) Baker, sisters in law, Sheryl (Jim) and Linda, as well as many
cousins,
nieces, and nephews.
Sue was first a daughter of God. She was a follower of Christ and
covered by his
righteousness. She was also a loving wife, mother, grandmother, sister
and close
friend to so many people. In every context of her life she was always
meeting
people and connecting them to others. Anyone who had Sue as a friend she
was
truly a friend for life. She was a prayer warrior and she always kept in
touch
with so many families in order to pray for them. Those who knew her knew
how
kind and loving she was. Jesus truly shone through her to so many,
especially in
the last two years as he tenderly walked with her through the disease
that
slowly weakened her body, but graciously kept her mind strong to the
end. In the
process teaching her that she could trust him. Even now she is enjoying
pleasures forever more at His right hand.
In lieu of flowers memorial contributions in Sue's honor are suggested
to Faith Community Church building fund or Missions fund, 3500 Prather
Rd., Kansas City, M o 64116.
Funeral services will be 2:30 PM Sunday January 22, 2017 at the
Midwestern Baptist Theological Seminary Chapel. There will be a
visitation from 1:30 Pm to 2:30 PM prior to the funeral service and a
time to visit following the funeral service.
