Some {possible} good news!

Hello everyone,

I have some uplifting news. The oncologist I saw today specializes in non-smoker's cancer.  I may be a candidate for molecular therapy which will allow me to take a pill that is not as destructive as chemo and does a great job of targeting the cancer. The down side is that they may not know for 3 weeks if the biopsy tissue is adequate for this kind of evaluation.  I still may need a broncoscopy and lymph node biopsy if the pelvis biopsy doesn't work and then we will be waiting 3 more weeks. His recommendation is to wait for the results for molecular therapy.

The oncologist said I can fly home any time.  He is going to research 2 recommended oncologists at KU and would be willing to talk with them for a treatment plan for me.

My specific prayer requests today are:

1  For the biopsy sample to be more than enough soft tissue to determine if I am a candidate for the molecular therapy

2 That the cancer I have is one of the 3 cancers that responds to molecular therapy

3 That the lab research will be done in a timely manner.

4 That God will reveal to me which oncologist He wants to treat me.   Does God want me to be treated in Phoenix or KC, and who do I go to in KC?

Thank you to all of you for joining me before the throne of God to present these specific requests to Him.  God has shown His hand in this circumstance so far, and I trust Him to continue to lead and guide me.  May God be glorified as I strive to be in His will. Thank you for your prayers and support. Love to all.

In His hand,
Sue
